5th: Nielsen keeps hitting big, KD makes this 10 - 8 Nielsen

 

5th round: Nielsen connects with a big left and Mendy goes down, but the kd isn;t called because Nielsen's momentum carries him into Mendy and the Dane goes down as well, But a few moments later, Patrick connects with a hook and Mendy drops to a knee. THAT kd is official. Mendy eats another big left late in the round, but survives.

6th: Another close round, Mendy just a little better. One hit from Nielsen wont change that.

57 - 56 Nielsen

 

Close sixth round. Mendy landed a nice right, though Nielsen scored with a BIG left later on that forced Mendy to hold. Mendy came back from that, though and landed some nice jabs. Not enough to take the round on my card, though.

 

7th: Nielsen really not doing much. Looked like 3 or 4 punches in the round. Mendy again.

7th round: I've got Mendy winning this one, because he did the more consistent work, boxed well and managed to avoid most, though not all, of the incoming.

 

Drew and I don't see eye to eye here.

Since its in Denmark, trust his scorecard over mine. :yep

 

Is Mendy the other Mendy's brother ? :think

 

8th: Mendy looks a little tired, but I just don't think Nielsen is doing enough. :conf

Football player? I don't know.

 

Only rounds we disagree on are the 2nd and 6th, and we both agree they were close...:think

 

Mendy busier in the 8th, Nielsen landed harder, but not cleaner this round. Mendy's closing the gap on my card...

 

No I mean Jean Paul Mendy the boxer. :think
