    I read shortly after this bout the details in the Ring mag. There and in other scripts Oscar was thought to be the unoffical winner though no ball of fire himself in deserving it. Floyd landed one big left hook in the bout which had it happened in earlier days the scribe thought might have dropped Ringo.

    Good win by patterson. shows he can still outwit and outpunch a larger stronger opponent. he won nearly every round.
