    I wonder how much better Mike would have rated as ATG if he'd fought and lost to Holy rather than Douglas. Holy had more than proved he could hang with the heavies by the time of Mike's Douglas defense.

    Though Buster was an ATG for that one night (and that only), Mike's losing to Holy, an eventual...what, quadruple world champ? Would probably have been seen in a much more favorable light, especially in hindsight. After prison he could have rematched him or Bowe (and lost to either, but still....far more interesting than what he did do to regain the...uh, "title").

    The Liston fight would have been pretty killer! Would have been a great matchup, though I'm not sure about Iron Mike getting past that jab. Tough one to call for me.

    Mike would have been humiliated against 65 Ali.

    I can see where you two are having conflicts, and I can sympathize with both sides. You and @Sangria both have knowledge valuable to this forum.

    Sangria is generally pro-Tyson (like I'm generally pro-Holmes), but he has knowledge that extends beyond that.

    Ya. Actually, I think Tyson only has two ATGs on his record. As for Floyd's, I'm undecided. Moore and Quarry are certainly ATGs, and perhaps a couple of others. None of them pushovers though, that's for sure.
