74 Foreman wouldn't have fought Young's fight and boxed him. He would have cut the ring and blown him out. Also the Young-Ali fight was not "an outright robbery". Young fought a ***** fight.
You may want to go back and check the record books. Shavers stopped Young in THREE rounds, not five, when Young had only 10 bouts under his belt, three of which were losses including his most recent fight. Shavers had 44 fights under his belt. Nearly two years later they had a rematch which the local press thought Young had won clearly and in which everyone said Shavers was reeling at the end and on the verge of a KO. So no, Shavers did not have Youngs number. In fact given Shavers absolutely horrible stamina my guess is that when they go into the 12 and 15 round distance Young either clearly outpoints Shavers or stops him. Yeah, Id love to see Foreman trying to bullrush Young with those ridiculous wide as a swinging barn door punches. Hed be hitting nothing but air just like he did when they actually fought. Young may have fought a shitty fight but at least he was there fighting unlike Ali who was main tactic seemed to be trying to belly bump him out of the ring with his fat ass gut. Ali took Young lightly and it showed. He won that fight on name recognition alone. He sure as **** didnt win it on punches landed, effective aggression, or any other standard of scoring.
And the one judge had Muhammad winning 13 rounds. I don't think he landed 13 good punches for the whole fight. The lopsided scoring was correct, they just announced the wrong name as the victor. but it shows how hard it really was to defeat Ali on the scorecards---remember when Neon Leon beat him pillar to post & even then the scoring was extremely close.
3 rounds? Proves my point even more. Thank you for that. They fought twice. Shavers knocked him tf out early in their first fight, and dropped him in the rematch. Doesn't matter what you think. History says Earnie had Young's number and unfortunately that's the way it is. He'd cut the ring on Young use his underrated jab and bomb him out in a couple rounds. Is that Why Foreman almost knocked him out in the 7th round by Young's admission? Young's main tactic seemed to be illegal flurries under the belt and sticking his head outside the ropes when he was getting his ass beat (which was evidently almost if not every round).
I respect that. But disagree. I will agree with you though, in that swarmers were his Kryptonite. Only ATG Pressure fighter I think he beats is Mike Tyson
You live in a fantasy world. Everything you just wrote is nuts. The mental gymnastics it takes to reach such a conclusion is beyond my comprehension.
Theres nothing to rebut. If your entire premise is based on fantasy Itd be like trying to rebut goldilocks. Why waste my time.
Fantasy? All the stuff I've posted can be proven by watching film (something I doubt you've ever done).
Then again, you also think their was no difference in Williams before and after he got shot despite clear evidence to the contrary. So watching film is pointless anyways.
