I struggle to believe how you can be confused by my post - not once did I mention the weigh in. I said unless you were with Paul at these Indian trip and benders then I doubt you know what really goes on in his private life. I know Apps well and trust me - I was extremely concerned, not jumping onto boxing forums to start slating supposed 'diets' If you know boxing so well - then you'll understand making the weight isn't all about how well you eat - if your body is growing and struggles to keep making a certain weight, then its time to move up. Doesn't mean Apps was not dieting well. I agree Apps is not shot - are things will be changing. :thumbsup
****ing hell Jake123 and rozwilliams...You pair of tarts, arguing about who's better friends with Appleby..
In my opinion he isnt big enough for lightweight and with proper diet and nutrition and training he should be comfortable at superfeather..... this is a professional business and needs to be given 100 percent..... everyone has different views... but the rule of thumb for every boxer should be proper diet/nutrition and training.... No excuses.... its too dangerous...:yep
was definately not a nice thing to watch on television.. to have been ringside ... welll...another story....
nice to see your finding the dangerous part so funny!! Female? right no bother - so a guy can't be concerned and want to stick up for his pal anymore. Get a grip atsch
and we know who you are billy too.... and its not adios billy.. its hasta pronto... hope paul is feeling better today... let him know from us... first time on this site for me and wellll ...must say people pick up on the stupidest things... I mean.. I said *****ies and bad training and then I have a numpty accusing me of saying that wee apps got free meal at the indian in queensferry for being best customer... well I never.... ???? Next time I am in there I will ask if I can have one too... nought as weird as folk is there.... but bring it on... not a bad wee banter on here... looking foward to seeing what the next step for paul is... and no billy, i wont ask you nor paul.. its early days, and paul needs healing time ... and congrats on craig mcewan... another man to the stable cant go wrong.... adios.... y hasta pronto el gordo.. that means big man in spanish... now need to decide which wee face to put ... as even the faces seem to be taken seriously... let me think... :bbb there you go... a wee boxing man.... and jake123 dont go raj over the word numpty.... its just a forum.. as my old man said to me ... get a life... whit ye daen on there..... ?????
I am the person who has paid ... PAID for Paul APPLEBY to come to our GYM twice... and to have helped him through being a friend........ so I dont know who you are JAKE... but get off my back.... I have cooked for Paul and helped Paul in the past and would do so again.. even with Billy as his trainer.. because I believe in PAUL APPLEBY and dont need the glory.. so PAL, believe me when I say.. if I have information of any sort, it isnt the stuff I write willy nilly.......... you strike me as someone who disregards folk who write that paul needs to retire.. paul is shot... whats your problem... ??? why do my comments upset you more... ??? Paul in my opinion was NOT up to scratch... I read on here that billy nelson said paul complained about not feeling right .... ???? Go troll the pages .. or disappear as far as I am concerned... :fire that means you are pissing me off.........
This is nonsense, clearly written by someone with no knowledge of nutrition. He was smooth in the ring, suffering from water retention, clear evidence of an athlete who is both overtrained and undernourished. When you train to the exremes of a boxer getting ready for a fight, proper nutrition, adequate protein and carbs is essential for recovery. If he isn't taking in enough the body tries to hang on to what it has, and water retention is the result.
