Hard fight to look good in for Appleby.

Good learning experience you'd assume but he must slow his work down, use the jab more. He was pretty wild and crude and open.

Good shout, he still seems a little too eager to please but at the level he's at now he needs to keep his cool.

With a cool head theres no reason why he cant eclipse Scott Harrisons achievements imo.

Appleby is a great talent with all the confidence in the world and im gonna really enjoy following his caree :)

    he's not that talented i don't think.

i don't see a world level prospect with this kid. :bart

perhaps a harsh statement given he's only 21.

British champ after 12 fights is impressive by any measure....having said that I am not altogether convinced by Appleby. He is pretty wild at times, is very open to the counter and I do wish that he would keep his mouth shut when he throws a shot, if not someone with a bit of pop is going to break his jaw for him one day.

Appleby is a good domestic fighter, maybe euro level, but I don't see him on the world stage.

He's only young so a bit harsh to judge him on that. Needs to throw the jab a bit more and be a bit more patient. Plenty of time though for Appleby.

    agreed.

    appleby acknowledged that himself afterwards.

just not in so many words.

he knows he needs to improve. :good

does anyone think he could benefit of a change in coach?i dunno why but i think his coach could have been giving him more of a telling to .just an observation.

He is young, but you have to judge him at the level he is fighting. He is british champion and his performances should be judged as such.
