I really like watching him fight and have grown to be a bit of a fan. I can understand ur point of view but i refuse to make any sort of judgement on whether he'd be a world beater but i have quiet confidence abt him. :bbb

Its one helluva fight if it hapens, but Simpson is a wily experienced campaigner with a great chin, hard to hit & bangs a bit nowadays!

Appleby is going to be a star of the future, I have no doubt BUT stepping up from journeyman level to fight John Simpson so early in his career? Its a big jump & I think if Simpson turns up in shape(he was a bit podgy in his last fight & underperformed) then I think Simpson will beat Appleby on points.
Simpson is a big jump up in class for a prospect who hasnt mixed above journeyman level yet, & dont forget people what Simpson did to a fine fighter like Andy Morris recently.

I admire Applebys attitude calling out Simpson, but hes making a big mistake IMHO!

Appleby bit too flash in my opinion if he is calling out John Simpson then I think he is running before he can walk .My impression of Appleby is a cocky pup banged out a few african fighters but not ready for going for such a competetive belt

    Very exciting match up.

Appleby is a great young prospect but fighting Simpson at this stage of his career is probably too soon for him.

I think Simpson only needs one more successful defence of his British Title and he gets to keep the Lonsdale Belt outright - I hope he is successful.

John Simpsons experience may take the day in this one. Appleby definetly has tools to make a real impact and he should really be doing a number on Simpson if he has hopes or serious title contention but on recent fights a guy like Simpson may be able to turn the fight into and hard one and cause an upset.

    :huh

No disrespect to Appleby, he is a terrific prospect but I don't see why Simpson beating him would be viewed an upset.

For me Appleby beating Simpson in his next couple of fights would be more of an upset result.
