No need to panic victorhugo my good man:D as I have already said, I think Simpson will have too much experience & ring savvy for Appleby.

The reason I said what I said though is cos Appleby is a big prospect, & a novice.
Look at John Simpson, no-one has had an easy night against him. Simpson was robbed against Dazzo Williams, robbed against Derry Matthews & destroyed Andy Morris the last time they met. John Simpson is handful for anyone, & I was just saying if a novice like Appleby was to win convincingly against a fine fighter like John Simpson this early in his career, you would have to say the kid will go on to be a big star in the sport.

appleby will never pull out this fight and is training to get ready for 16th at motherwell if simpson needs more time to lose the pounds then it may get moved to a later date but one thing for sure appleby aint going down with-out a fight. It will be more like simpson going down its going to be a ******* and the belt is coming home to the east coast.

    enjoy your rants:yep

hey hey hey... whats all this stuff about the belt coming 'home' to the east coast? We ESB brit forum scots dont do east/west coast rivalry, look at me, a proud scotsman, from Glasgow, with an avatar of an east coast fighter.
May the best man win, no need for all that east-west rivalry that does nothing for boxing north of the border.
I couldnt give a **** what part of Scotland a scottish boxer comes from, as long as he does our country proud.

Hope Simmy's hand injury is not serious as he will need to be 100% for this one.

I also think he will have too much experience for Appleby at this stage.

There is no doubt he is a fighter that can dig deep when he needs to so I would pick him to win.

i have to say i like ricky hatton i think he seems to be realy down to earth, but make no mistake i whole heartedly support these scottish kids who are comin through the ranks to prove them selves as good but it is always gonna be the same scottish fighters will only get raved about when they are fighting the hugh fights , we need more recognition for these kids who are giving it there all.

It says in the edinburgh papers that the fight with appleby and simpson is may 16th so someone should really be getting there finger out and sorting this out either that Gilmour or simpsons manager they will know exactly when the fight is happenin it isnt fair on us supporters and also the boxers to much messing around, What kind of manager is Gilmour he lines up these celtic fights for appleby and they dont go ahead, appleby gets changes of opponents literally as he is going in the ring, Gilmour wants to stop messing around with the kid. Ok sorry about that my little rant is over now thanks.
