Appleby jabs the body. Big right over the top by Simpson. Appleby doubles the jab to the body and curls a right down there. Right hand over the top by Simpson, left hook, right hand, left hook, right hand - putting Appleby on the ropes! Appleby bashes his way off with a right hand. Clinch. Simpson frees an arm and rips an uppercut as they walk each other across the ring. Hooks to the body by Appleby while circling, and big hooks to the head by Simpson while turning. Clinch. Hard thrust jab to the forehead by Simpson from outside. 1-2-1-2. Hard whipping right over the top by Simpson. Appleby stumbles into him trying to hold, shouldering him into the ropes. Simpson catches Appleby with a cracking right hand. Appleby hurt?? Stumbling. Falls to his knees. Ruled a slip. BIG RIGHT HAND BY SIMPSON in an exchange. ANOTHER BIG SHOT BY SIMPSON, left hook as they trade. Appleby is putting his head down and going to war with Simpson. Appleby sent staggering across the ring by a forceful right hand across the jaw. Clinch. Appleby taps the body with his wrists pinned.
