So it's rumoured briggs is nearing the SMW limit, who should he fight for his first bout back?

It seemed obvious he may of faced mundine, but now that kessler is mundine's mandatory, after the soliman fight (if it happens and assuming mundine wins), it would seem mundine would have to fight kessler or be stripped?

Who does Briggs look too for his first bout back and where to from there? How out of the question is Bika?

    Thoughts?

I think Paul may want a tune-up with a bit less snap than Bika.

Hamden would be a good fight.

Where is it rumoured. I am hesitant to believe Briggs would be capable of fighting that weight. Any sources you can divulge cause i love Briggsy just dont see it as a very viable move to 168

Paul has said it himself no rumours he wants to fight at 168 and is getting near the weight with only a little training. He starts to diet this week and should be down to 168 for a fight in June

I hope Briggs can keep his power at Super Middle. a match up with Bika would be great!

Paul Briggs has got many options within just Australia at 168.
Big names like Sakio Bika, Nader Hamdan, Victor Oganov, Sam Soliman spring to mind & then the next tier of guys like a Les Sherrington.

    Briggsy would destroy Bika.

1 Briggs can take a shot

2 Bika cant take a shot (especially from Briggs)

3 Briggs way to seasoned for Bika

Did you see Paul's last fight?
He looked like a shot fighter but apparently that was due to health problems, so we will see how he comes back.

Im am a little sceptical about how he will go.
There was an article posted in the general forum a few days ago, saying he was fighting again in June and they were looking at guys like Echols or Yusef Mack. Then I think he was looking at going to the U.S in September to fight on a Don King card.

    Percy,
Briggsy can take a serious shot but has been hurt a ton of times throughout his career. Take the Bellin and Ruiz fights as examples.
Bika can take a shot, he has proven this many times.
There is a fine line between seasoned and old sometimes, we will have to wait and see how much Paul has got left because Bika is at the prime of his powers.
I do not see Briggs destroying Bika at all, even 2 years ago.

Hamden vs Briggs is an awesome suggestion for a comeback fight.

from what I hear he thinks looking at photos of his weighin with Adamek he looked over weight and doesn't think he will have any problem with making 168. wait and see I guess some.. boxers have done some amazing things with weight. Fenech early in his career for one
