What can I say, gutted. But it is for the best, he has had a very long fighting career that he should be proud of.
It's a shame when one of your favorite fighters hangs them up. But when it's for health reasons it's hard to complain. Well done Paul, awesome career.
Damn shame, was really hoping I'd get to see him fight again. Nothing worse than having the body fail while the mind's still willing, unless you actually make it to a fight. Best we remember him for the great battles he fought.
This is sad, yet happy news for me. It's sad to know that he'll never be boxing again. I liked supporting him, and there was no other boxer out there that I wanted to see win a world title more than him. However, it's good to know that he wont be placing himself at risk. His health issues have been a problem for some time now, and if he was to fight again there would always be that feeling in the back of my mind hoping that something wouldn't go bad. Now it never will, at least not in the ring. Paul has a lovely wife and children and he is a fine commentator. The foundation is there for him to enjoy the rest of his life.
go in gallery adn see typhoon hidaka that guy can punch and sure was big for a japanese fighter, what ever happeed to him?
