Briggs is simply a desperate man who conned the sport he loved for financial gain. Not too dissimilar from how junkies etc steal and con money from family or close ones.

you can argue the merits of the fight but the highlighted part can not be a serious question.

Well if we are going to begin insults, read my post again you illiterate ****. As i said, i feel sorry for the punters who paid to see that ****in sham that was instigated by GMP. Nowhere did i dispute Briggs took a dive. You inferred Briggs is a coward, i disagree and posted my reasons.
What you can't get through your thick ****in skull is what danger Briggs was in of being turned into a ****in vegetable if he sustained any heavy blows in that fight.
Two different neuro surgeons told Briggs he could suffer serious brain damage if he continued to fight. Thats why he retired. It was no secret in the boxing industry. After Briggs lost money in the FIREPOWER scam he had the arse out of his pants, looked like losing his home and was looking to one more fight to save his house. He approached Mundine and was offered money but told he was in no condition to fight ever again. His trainer Johnny Lewis refused to train him again saying " I wont be a part of this, you could die if you fight again". Jeff Fenech refused to help briggs after watching a training session where Briggs was getting KOed by sparring partners.
The NSW combat authority refused to sanction the fight after viewing MRI scans of Briggs. So what did GMP do, they switched venues to Perth.
Betting agencies suspended betting on the fight after getting swamped by bets of first round stoppage.
Briggs was desperate for money, you might regard him as a coward but i remember him as a warrior.

BTW. Buster is it true you posted that Green threw the Tarver fight ?
