Any word on how his supposed comeback is coming along?

Has any fight been penciled in yet, and is his comeback still on track?

Any news whatsoever (I'm looking at you here ippy :yep) would be appreciated. :good

    Thanks ippy.

Is he retiring simply because the Green fight didn't eventuate, or are there other things to take into account?

From what I gather, because the Green fight didn't pan out.

It would only have been in his interests to tune up a few times then have a big war with Green for the paycheck anyway, its a long way back to the top for Briggsy and he is getting a bit long in the tooth to have another crack.

Its a shame he never fought Green in his prime, I think he would have stopped him in 6

If he doesn't want to fight a tune up/s, it's probably a good idea not to fight Green.

Hopefully he changes his mind and takes a tune up fight, otherwise hope he continues to enjoy his retirement. Great fighter!

    Agreed.

Can't help thinking, though Briggs was probably feeling a lot better over time, that it wasn't going to be a 'comeback' for the right reasons.

Keep you health & enjoy retirement Briggsy, your record speaks volumes already!

Yep i would've hated seeing Briggsy get messed up by that bum Green and having the general public honestly believe Green was better.

Stay retired or have 2 tune ups and see how you are going.

Spoke to Paul last night and he has no plans to fight again. Was amazed to find out he has no copies of any of his fights, not even the Adamek ones. Will be putting together a few discs for him in the next few weeks.

Geez Leon, hope you know who 'aint listening.

There's gotta be a copyright infringement here somewhere.

Better get permission from each and every opponent before you give Paul copies of HIS fights.
