Paul got too impatient and left 147. He wanted to jump straight to a fight with Floyd instead of earning his shot by beating the other guys at 147. When you go up 2 weight classes, of course you are going to be left out of all the converstations involving big money fights at 147. If he wants a fight with Floyd he needs to the right thing and reestablish himself at 147 not expect floyd to seek him out
Mosley just lost his title. Perhaps Paul should go down to 147 and take whats rightfully his? Nobody can stop him.
I agree but that's besides the point. I hate how people act like floyd is ducking paul. he's 2 weight classes higher right now. Floyd is under no obligation to call him out. The natural order is you fight the best guys available at your weight then if you run out of guys but still want more you move up 1 weight class. That means that Williams is at best 4th place on logicl fights for Floyd 1st pacquiao then Berto (that cleans out 147). Then Martinez then Williams. And even at that there isn't much demand for a williams fight because williams isn't doing his part by getting impressive wins over top guys
So because paul says that everyone is scared of him it must be true? Honestly suppose that paul had stayed at 147 and kept winning, do you really think that the guys there wouldn't have fought him? I don't
earn his shot? lol that's funny.. but is funnier the last part of floyd seeking him out.. floyd runs from peole he doesnt seek anybody out :hat
Paul left 147 because all the other belt holders blacklisted him, he would have stayed if Cotto, Margo, Shane, or Berto would have not publicly stated that they would never fight him and would not even entertain the possiblity of fighting him. End of discussion on that point. He went to 154, beat the breaks off Verno PHillips who was stripped of his IBF title and fought for the interim WBO title instead and won. Fights ****ing Winky for his tuneup for Pavlik, beats MArtinez in a close fight on 2 weeks prepartion because of the last minute Pavlik withdrawal. Now people are blaming him for getting passed up? The man can make 147 and is there is Shane or Floyd or Manny wants a fight, he has repeatedly put his name out there. Hell he is coming back down in weight for the Cintron fight at 154, after Friday I"m pretty sure he'll be ready to go back to his home weight division at 147 and generate some noise for Manny or Shane, if Floyd actually fight Martinez.
I think three years ago Williams would have beaten Mayweather at 147, but now I question if he could make the weight in a healthy fashion. Floyd is too big for Pacquiao, IMO.
Berto isn't a multi weight champion. He doesn't belong in the same ring. Williams should fight and take his title too. It would be a 1st round knock out.
He should fight for Shanes lost title, and he should take the title away from Cintron and Martinez at 154. This way Floyd wont have anywhere left to go if he does move up.
If he fought for Shane's vacant title who would he fight? Probably not Shane or any big name WW right? So say he gets the title, he is then stuck fighting low paying / low class mandatories while all the WW titleholders no longer have to worry about him because he can no longer be a mandatory challenger.
I agree to an extent. The reality is the guy won a title of Margarito when he wasn't a huge name and hadn't been built up and he expected huge fights straight away. Every big star started out with a period where they were built up with title defense's against solid opposition just look at Andre Berto, Juanma, Chad Dawson or further back Shane Mosley, Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquaio they all had at least a couple or more defenses of their title. Their names got bigger and bigger with every defense and Paul never did that he just expected the big fights straight away it doesn't work like that.
Paul is too young for Floyd it doesnt matter what he does Floyd wont fight him,Mayweather is only interested in fighting guys older than 35.
