So you think McCloskey had the right strategy to run / freeze and not throw any punches?

i shall repeat again for all you boxing people.

    championship boxing is a 12 round sport,not 6,it has happened before,look at taylor /froch for 1,
dudey was not outclassed, not by a long shot, and certinly not like salita was, which,i may add, most of you knobjockeys said it would be.

get a grip.khan is not p4p material, hatton would of raped him, them his dad and then that little **** harroon,in the same ring on the same night:hi:

    get over it,he is good,no doubt,but that good,no,:rasta

So McCloskey was waiting until the 12th round to turn up and actually start throwing punches?

No way can you compare Froch against Taylor to McCloskeys performance. And what does Hatton or PPV have to do with anything? You sound bitter.

not bitter at all sweetheart, just can't get my head around why people,or 'boxing fans' would think this of dudey as a quiter, dident look like that to me,he was doing ok.
froch was in a lot worse shape by the 6th than dudey was as well, what about mayorga/mosley,mosley was getting a bit of a beating for 11 1/2 rounds then, bam,**** of mayorga, just another one for you great boxing fan to suck up:good.

oh,and where the **** did i say ppv

McCloskey let himself down badly, I really thought he'd show more ambition.

Thats the shittest i've seen Khan in a very long time, infact technically he was poorer today than when he fought the game Gary St Clair. Yet he still won all 6 rounds.

Onwards and Upwards, I can see him bringing back the jab for Bradley, and boy will he need it, cos he's a hurricane of aggression.

he disapointed by not trying to land enough, which made it hard for khan to counter, and made less of a fight out of it,maybe he had tactics like audley,to just survive till late on and try make khan tired and frustrated.

Khan didnt put on his best performance, but he still outclased an awkward tough southpaw.

Im sure this fight was for learning new things, dealing with a different stance and style and for him to improve more before the bradley fight, which he will win, bradley is not southpaw, hes not slick,he will get caught and outboxed by khan still.

worst stoppage ive ever seen...doctor didnt wait till the end of the round, that cut wasn;t bleedin intohis eyes and that stoppage was based on **** all...any khan nuthugger that considers that a victory knows **** all about boxing!

I don't think Dudey quit, however I was massively dissappinted with his performance. It was no better than Johnson against Vitali, using head movement to slip a lot of punches means **** all when you throw nothing back. He stayed in his shell and the gameplan was to land a lucky punch late on. The stoppage was disgraceful but there shouldn't be a rematch, no one wants to see that horrible **** again.

i disgree, the plan was never an early outpointing of khan...a ko was on the way

There's a difference between trying to outpoint him and trying to at least land a ****ing punch. Dudey was terrible offensively, he hardly threw anything, landed nothing, was wobbled once and looked a lot more tired than Khan at the time of the stoppage. There was not a ****ing hope in hell he was knocking Khan out with one of those big, slow, telegraphed right hooks.

It was a **** fight where both fighters looked bad and the sooner it's forgotten about the better.

No excuses i genuinely felt that McCloskey was going easy in the first 6 and was going to have a real go in the final stretch and with his comment about Khan struggling to make 140 i feel that adds some weight to the argument.

I agree the fight should be forgotten - but not the stoppage.

It was blatant one sided in house officiating, not the first time in a Khan fight, and not uncommon in boxing in general.

If we want to be taken seriously as a sport, or even as a commercial exercise, how can this just be brushed under the carpet without a word?
