Paul Heyman backs Brock Lesnar as UFC Hall of Famer

So he:

* Was the most heavily-publicized UFC signing ever, by far,

* Won the HW belt,

* Successfully defended it twice (No UFC HW has yet managed three successful defences in a single reign)

* Headlined both of the two biggest-selling PPVs in the company history,

* Headlined four of the six biggest-selling PPVs in company history,

* Defeated two fellow UFC HOFers in title fights*,

* Generated more mainstream media coverage and casual interest than ANY UFC fighter before or after him, and

* Was a bigger star than ANY UFC fighter before or after him.



I can understand if he was a massive bust, but he wasn't. Even with his life-threatening health problems, which ruined his strength, he achieved a lot of success in his career.

Bearing in mind that it is the UFC Hall of Fame, I honestly can't understand why anyone would say he shouldn't be in there. :conf Other than "I don't like the guy/**** Dana/**** the UFC", that is. :yep

he deserves to be in there. He accomplished so much in such a short time and was the face of the UFC.

 

I had nerdy blokes at work watch the UFC because of Lesnar, i'd say his impact to a wider audience is under estimated.

He attracted a bunch of WWE fans to watch his PPV's, big deal. He fought guys well past their prime and that were much smaller than him when they entered the octagon. He wasn't a well rounded fighter and only fought a half dozen times. HOF? Nope. If he could have taken a punch without crawling into a ball he may have even been more successful. He earned a title shot without even having to prove himself as well.

 

i think its all about the definition of fame
personnaly i dont consider lesnars "fame" worthy of the one accomplished by amazing fighters doing amazing things

i never thought lesnar did anything AMAZING in the octagon
& his number ($) really are nothing else than marketing wich for me personally has no purpose in his accomplishments

LOL, MMA still has a lot more growing to do when the face of the UFC and a hall of famer was deathly afraid to get hit and threw punches like a 3 year old.

 

So many fighters that are far more deserving than Brock:

Evan Tanner, Don Fye, Pat Miletich, Jeremy Horn, Mark Kerr, Frank Shamrock...

What about fighters like Sakuraba, Genki Sudo, Bas Rutten or Cro Cop that fought for the UFC but achieved most of their succsess in other orgs shouldnt they be considered?

Also since the UFC bought out PRIDE FC, WEC, and Strikeforce shouldn't fighters from these orgs be eligible for the HOF? With these orgs gone who will place them in the HOF?

 

Its doesn't mean **** Yaca, because there wern't in the WWE before and they didn't brought over million of ignorant fan that stopped watching MMA as soon there idol, some kind of viking monster that has a dick tatooed on his chest, got destroyed.

There wern't given title shot based only on there popularity and didn't had the chance the fight for the title in one of the weakest HW divsion ever...so they don't deserve to in the UFC all of FAME. Those guy ****in suck and don't deserve any recognition whatsoever. The only thing that is important right now is the post BBF era of the UFC

But what the hell...Brock Lesnar is a legend of MMA, he wasn't helped at all by the UFC machine and he deserve all the credit he can get. FFS if there is an MMA Hall of Fame one day he should be the first one to get into it.
