from the site that reports boxing to the max

"As it relates to the middleweight champion of the world, DiBella stated, "I know that HBO wants to make Martinez-Paul Williams; that is not my first choice. But if we didn’t have any other choice, would we do it? Yes. But I’ll tell you that Sampson Lewkowicz (Martinez’s adviser) was told by Dan Goossen that Goossen has no interest in that fight right now, at this moment. I’ve also heard that there’s a good chance that Paul Williams is moving down to welterweight. Obviously, Sergio’s not a welterweight.""

Williams should fight Cintron at welterweight.

Team Williams is just talking ****. He will never consistently fight at 147. They're just hoping for a fight that will never happen. Pac & Mayweather will never fight him.

Pretty clear that PTP is desperate for the big spotlights. A rematch against Martinez, tho' credible and exciting, doesn't quite measure up to a potential showdown against Mayweather or Pacquiao in that regard. Dibella himself is on record saying that he would rather postpone the rematch and see it take place a year down the line when it could potentially become more of an attraction.

It's a bs lie. If Williams didn't want a Martinez rematch then he wouldn't be at ringside for the Pavlik vs Martinez fight in which Williams was there cause he was looking for the winner in which it was Martinez. Martinez however isn't looking for a Williams rematch, he's interested in fighting Margarito or Mayweather next.

I'm guessing he's down @ 147 with hopes of becoming the back up fight for $ in case $-Pac falls through again.

Wheatstraw doesn't belong at MW. 154 tops. His style is more made for the 147 where punching power is reduced and he has reach/height over everyone. He simply gets hit too much to stay at MW at this time.

This is what I'm thinking. The fights at WW is more lucrative. Not sure though if Floyd will fight him. Pac most probably will fight Margo.

Martinez predicted a series of fights between himself, Pavlik and Williams at MW. Kelly can no longer make the weight comfortably though. And like I said, Paul belongs at 147 if he can still make it.

its a smart move moneywise to move back to 147.

Too bad nobody's gonna fight him.

Martinez would love a rematch with Williams but that's not who he wants to fight next. If anybody here knows how to read, they should know that Martinez wants to fight Either a rematch vs Margarito or against Mayweather next.
