im not a paulie fan. but i mean to call him feather fisted is a bit of an unfair statement. if you had that many surgeries on your hands it would be tough to have some pop. but the truth is he wouldnt be making these statements if he was still relevant

Thanks KingCobra, and ill be watching his fight just to root for Diaz to kick his ass again so he can really start complaining after he's lost two fights in a row!

Not quite as cut and dry as "boxing is a joke" like the OP put it.

He has a right to be angry with how there treating him and to a degree, i agree with him.

What I find funny are the posters in this thread bashing Paulie and telling him to 'STFU'. Do they have any sense?
Hes doing the sport a service by speaking out on it's faults, thats the only way things can get better. We need more fighters like him speaking out on whats wrong with the sport and getting it fixed.

Agreed, politics and greed have ruined this sport.

A large part of what is wrong with boxing is the fans. I browse these forums, and read what the so called "fans" say about the fighters that provide them with the sport they supposedly "love" to watch. A guy loses and he is a bum. A guy gets ko'd and he is a bum with no chin. Boxing fans are the reason this sport is in shambles. Look at the MMA market... is it a better sport? No. But, I do think it is boxings equal. Just different. The reason it is so successful is it's fans. They are loyal, and rabid. How else could the UFC keep recycling the same old fighters, and sell out arena after arena, and do PPV #'s that are competitive with the best fights boxing has to offer. The fans of MMA are what drives the sports success in the samne manner in which boxing fans ar4 killing boxing. We don't support our fighters. The moment a guy loses he is trashed across the board. Media, fans, websites, and every where else you can think of. By the logic of todays fans there never would be a Henry Armstrong. Homocide Hank was KO'd in is first fight, and lost 3 of his first 4. Come on boxing fans... wise up.

I just dont think any of them actually read it before posting. Some of the people who've posted, i know would agree with what he's saying.

I agree with him 100% I have been behind the scenes in negotiating management, and fight contracts from club shows to PPV. The boxing world is full of nothing but snakes. It's even worse in MMA. UFC generates PPV #'s that are on par with the biggest fights in boxing, they sell out the arena, and the ydo that every month. All while grossly underpaying there fighters. There has yet to be and MMA fighter that has earned a 7 figure purse for one fight. It's pretty sad.

Malignaggi is the shittiest boxer i've ever seen. He has the weakest power in the sport of boxing only about 2% of his wins came by knockout.....Paulie sucks **** we all know it. He's a featherfisted ******. He can't box worth of **** and always gets his ass handed to him when he steps up in competition. He has no power at all he ****en sucks. He can't knockout ****. He's boring as **** and also looks like ****. Malignaggi is a ****en joke and a featherfisted **** face.

I might have taken these comment seriously if it wasn't coming from a guy who actually tried to fight with hair extensions.
Maybe, if Paulie spent less time on his hair and make up and more time dedicated to becoming a good boxer, the sport would have treated him better.

This is a perfect example of the point I am trying to illustrate. Paulie is something that few men have the courage to be... a FIGHTER! It's easy to critique from your sofa, but you have no idea what a fighter goes through in preparation for one single fight, what it's like to have to fight for 4-6-8-10 or 12 rounds, or what it's like to recover from a fight. As for Paulie himself. He fought Miguel Cotto. HARD! Even wobbled him once. I would venture to say Paulie is "tougher" then anyone on these boards.
