I've always disliked Paulie since that ghey moment in the first Ndou fight where he had to have his lame ass braids cut off because they were obscuring his vision.... That being said, he had a great career considering his physical disadvantages. I wish him all the best in retirement and with the new gig.
If this guy just had a little bit of punching power, what could've been. I'm curious to see if he'll make the HOF; on paper he's nowhere near the realm of being considered at that level, but they might put him in if/when they factor in his work as a broadcaster. His skills as an analyst are very good and it looks like he'll have a long, successful career behind the mic.
Best of luck to the champ. He massively over-performed what was expected in his career. Getting to the highest level of boxing with no power is incredibly impressive
except his last fight kind of ruins this 'stat' & technically isnt every fighter previously undefeated ??
Paulie was a overachiever who went on to become a world champion. I didn't always like paulie I hated him until his fight with cotto a fight I thought he would be easy work in but he made me a fan by the toughness he displayed in that fight by taking a savage beating while being so out gunned in the process. Thanks for the memories and I wish him the best in his retirement.
And your a Paulie blind nutthugger. He's over rated is what he is. His punch can't put a parrot to sleep.
Ride on out Magic Hands (now you see the KO ...no you didn't it's all magic) and thanks for the passion in the ring. Too bad kid never had power
