Kotelnik Maidana are his toughest fights to date, and they're on a different level. I've watched McCloskey and I just can't see him dealing with Khan at all. Khan TKO6.
:good Absolute domolition job Then everyone who bought the PPV is gunna slag Sky off again Do people not understand what a TUNE-UP is??? This fight is just a TUNE UP. There is NO chance of Khan getting beat. In fact its gunna make Khan look Sugar Ray Leonard and Edwin Valero all in one:rofl
I want McCloskey to win though i think Khan wins by UD but as you say i hope Paul gives a good account of himself. But lets think about it, Khan is he gonna come at Paul with a double jab and a right hand??? Pauls obviously watch vids of Khan and has a plan to counter this? step aside pivot and catch khan on the side of the head is one idea. I think many are underestimating Paul, with the same sad excuse of him not fighting top dogs, well now he is and he`s earned it. Maybe its better leave judgement on a so called euro level fighter until after they have fought a top dog cos they might just show that they are more than euro level.
Maidana is one of the toughest fighters I've seen in years, he is hands down Khan's toughest fight to date. Guy is a psycho.
If McCloskey can weather the early storm he might come into it but I think Khan's going to be too much for McCloskey and stop him in the 1st or 2nd.
I think Paul will give Khan a nightmare, this is no mismatch. One of McCloskey's best shots is a uppercut that Khan has trouble defending, McCloskey has a quality defence and is very slick and hard to hit. I can see Paul countering Khan all day long when he starts his flurries, it all depends on how well Paul can cope with Khan's speed but this is no walk in the park not by a long shot!
The worse thing about this fight is that because of threads like this (I'm sure this wasn't Lazarus's intention), people forget it's something other than a tune up.. and so when the most likely outcome occurs people will immediately begin acting in outrage at the mismatch.. or proclaiming Khan to be the next Sugar Ray
I'm not being funny, but incase you haven't noticed this is the British boxing forum and this is A British and European champion taking on a British World champion for his title. If you cant talk about this here then where can you talk about it?
I think that's going to be too late. If I was a gambler I would cover 2 and 3. He might get through the 1st but it's a tall order getting much further beyond I hope the ref doesn't wave it off too early however
Fugging exactly! I was going to say this yesterday but I couldn't be bothered. Why is it always Amir's hardest fight? Is it not McCloskey's? Is he the world champ here? Is it his easiest?!
If that was the same Khan that faced Presscott then McCloskey would have brilliant chance but unfortunately it isn't, it's 2011, not 2008 and Paul does not have a time-machine....
