McClosky comes across as a nice fella so good luck to him but I find him painful to watch. Got to be one of he most overrated fighters on the British Isles and gets way more hype and TV time than his abitlity desreves.

NABA champion, WBA ranked #9 and holds recent wins over Edgar Santana (who's beat Josesito Lopez) and Jose Miguel Cotto (Miguel Angel's brother who used to operate around World title level down at Lightweight).

Perez has certainly been carefully picked, not much chance of a KO defeat for McCloskey

Mcloskey v Gavin would a been more interesting.Paul lost his last 3 in hindsight cause noway did he beat Prescott.
Perez Ko rd 7 could be a bad night at the office for Irish fighters cause Frampton in well deep.

You could be right, especially with Selby vs Lindsay as well. Would it be that much of a shock if all 3 home fighters lost?

I think people are a little harsh on McCloskey about his Prescott win, I can't remember if I had it one point to Dudey or a draw but wouldn't have grumbled if Prescott won it by two. But people that shout robbery rarely point the first round knockdown that was an illegal forearm and turned a 10-9 McCloskey round to a 10-8 Prescott. A 3 point negative swing in a close fight it massive.
