The question was who would beat Barry Morrison imo a shot to pieces Barry Morrison would be beat by the fighters I have listed, some of them are still green but Morrsion is finished just look at the shots he was going down to. The fight was a sparring session, McClosky needs to step it up now bigtime.
Big names? Mate he want's Amir Khan so he is going from Barry Morrison to fighting Amir Khan lmao. Like me scoring a hat trick for my pub team then saying I think I could do a job up front for Man United it I was given the chance. McCloskey needs to be realistic he struggled against a shot to **** Lauri, he needs to make steps to world level Morrrison was not the answer, Kotelnik, Olusegan,Urango or someone of that level would be good even Salita would answer some questions.
I know, I'm sorry. i just saw the post and jumped in feet first and edited. I'd say volume of punches as much as anything else accounted for morrison. Khan is out for a legacy and all credit to him for that. if Maidana is getting good or better money than he could have hoped for or if its better money than less threatening fighters, ten surely he would look at a euro champ with a big 0 next to his name?
Cook, Woodhouse, Nurse, Williams, Mutley, Wright I dont think would, dont think Gavin would either to be honest, not had enough fights. But its all a matter of opinons, I just think your wrong on yours:yep
He struggled against lauri who completely changed the way he fought for his entire career. Who saw that coming? McCloskey took a while to adjust to that, i suggest anyone would have. It wasn't vintage McCloskey by any stretch of the imagination but to suggest Lauri was shot to **** is a little unfair. He brought new things to the party. An experienced fighter who brought cuteness and awkwardness to the table.
I do agree with your last part here, put him in against Olusgen or Urango and see what he is made of at a higher level, cause sure as **** the big guys in the division would hammer him.
Well shot to **** if not far off mate, Lauri prior to fighting McCloskey was fighting guys with records of more losses than wins in 6 rounders, he also got beat twice by Ted Bami about 4 years prior to the fight with McCloskey.
I am not saying Lauri was or is great, but he made it difficult by fighting a different fight to what we had seen previously from him. In that context it is a decent win because of the problems he caused, but i concede that it didn't look the best and paul didn't perform to the best of his ability either. From what I have seen, the Lauri fight was an aberration, but he got the job done. Only the ko is going to make any highlight reel.
:rofl You no what pal I agree, I said 10 fighters then came up with ten at 140 who I could think of, in reality there is 6 fighters who would beat Morrison I was wrong about the ten, but the fight was a sparring session against a limited past it fighter.
That post is dripping with irony. If you want an example of someone blinded by patriotism, you only need to look in the mirror.
