Fair post. I think if Khan wants to fight McCloskey then it's not so much of a mismatch as to be a joke (though Khan would win convincingly imo), but McCloskey hasn't any business calling Khan out, so to speak, other than to state he would like a shot at him.

Khan is becoming a name in America, and globally because of his association with Roach/Pacquiao, so it doesn't make sense for him to take a fight with the relatively unknown McCloskey when there are potential fights with much bigger names on the table.

I think McCloskey can win a world title, I don't think he needs Khan at all. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Khan lost his title in the near future and the tables were turned completely.

I like McCloskey but i'd be concerned about his lack of mobility against someone like Amir Khan. Not the best style for him.

Malignaggi beats Paul IMO:good, people can write Paulie off all they want but he's proven world class and has operated at that level for years now.

that's true, i'd love to see the fight happen but i'd be worried about mc closkey standing in front of khan and trading. mc closkey's asset is his head movement and his ability to slip but he's not that busy on his feet so you'd expect khan to land consistently.

i agree that there are other potential world title fights out there for mc closkey but i think a fight with khan could be made more easily for obvious reasons and would also be a bigger pay day for him. the casual irish boxing fan has probably never heard of bradley or alexander but you can be damn sure they know who khan is
