Pender was tall and rangy and used an effective jab though he was not necessarily aggressive. He convincingly defeated both Carmen Basilio and an over the hill Sugar Ray Robinson twice. Pavlik, like Pender, is tall and rangy and a more aggressive fighter than Pender was. Although he has more power than Pender, Pavlik is nowhere near the ring general that Pender was. Can Pavlik's power get the job done here? Or does Pender totally outclass Pavlik?
