Not seen a thread on the forums about this so wanted to raise attention to it.

Paul Won the WBO Light Middleweight Title in 1995 against Verno Phillips. He never defended the title.

He doesn't have the belt and the WBO won't give him a belt even though he won one of their titles. They supposedly claim from what i read into it that they don't know who he is.

The WBO have said today that Matchroom who promoted Jones at the time paid for the belt and that Jones never mentioned to them at the Kell Brook show that he didn't receive the belt.

They question why 18 years on he's asking for a belt he claims he never got. He feels he should be given a belt because he won it in the ring.

It's a shame. If you'd like to back the cause for Silky to get his belt then get on twitter where it all seems to be happening .

should get his belt, he won it so thats it. FFS, it can't be the cost surely, about a 100 £ to get one made, so whats the issue, GIVE HIM ONE.

Aye i do wonder why it's taken him 18 years. Although it seems the initial e-mail wasn't from him so maybe he feels it's a case worth fighting with public backing.
