It is likely to be for the wbo title against either stieglitz or miranda, whoever wins their fight. out of all the world champions, at this stage Paul would have the best chance against stieglitz.
Why **** on someones parade, it is a british boxer potentially on the world scene, why not big it up, even if some peeople aren't his greatest fan.
The biggest joke in recent years was elcock fighting abraham.
Smith actually would stand a good chance against steiglitz, whereas elocock was out of his depth

I agree with avidlemon..... in terms of Elcock getting the shot at Abraham - Gary Lockett was offered it but said the money wasn't good enough and that he didn't want to fight in Germany.

Steiglitz is certainly beatable - if Smith really screws the nut and comes in tiptop condition I'd make him a live underdog in that matchup.

Miranda is fighting Bute now, the Stieglitz fight fell through. Stieglitz is easily the weakest champ at 168 to best of luck to Smith if/when he gets the shot.

Smith's got to get past Dodson first though :hey

let smith fight magee for the european title and make it an elimanator for the wbo

that would be a cracking night in belfast

i think magee would take him easily after both there last showings

that slipped my mind to be honest, but i do recall seeing that.

i agree with the comment, let magee and smith slug it out for the chance, if and when smith comes past dodson.

I would give him a much fairer shot at magee than others.

He would defo be a live opponent against stieglitz. Can;t remember who it was who knocked stieglitz out, but i think smith could take him out, as he seems a little bit suspect when under pressure.

Plus Smith ain't a bottle job, and has a bit more in the tank than being just a brawler IMHO

That was the sausage i was thinking of.

Don't get me wrong, i am a smigga fan, but out of all the "champions" he has the best chance of beating stieglitz. I think he is more than capable of doing to him what berrio did to him

See i'm not particualrly keen on Smith but this doesn't sway the way I think about this. If it was a Britsh boxer who'd earnt his dues and was in with a chance then fair enough. But Smith has spent years marking time against absolutely nobody and then went life and death with a 13-1 MMA fighter in Quigley. He hasn't beaten Dodson yet and is talking World Titles when he hasn't even faced a ranked Euro fighter.

I'd pick Anderson, and DeGale to beat him soon let alone any of the World Champs.

BTW I dont ever remember Quigley being beaten by Cleverley ??

good shout, stick rogan or martin lindsay on the undercard and they would sell out the oddysey no problem.
