I think smith has paid his dues to be fair. If he doesn't give it a dip now, maybe he won;'t get another chance.

    I think it is great.

Degale no chance against any decent british SMW right now, and anderson has proved **** all.

Let smith have his time in the spotlight, i think he will have earned it if he beats dodson

I think its a poor division and Smith, Quigley and co aren't far behind the top men.... obviously excluding super 6.

It isn't the best it's ever been to be fair. How many times do we see boxers either not fullfill their potential, or end up peniless?

I think if it happens we should all get behind him

    IF he beats Dodson.

What has Smith done to earn his shot out of curiosity?

I know he's had a fair few fights but who has he beat of any stature that would prove him to be worthy ? Beating Quigley (who was 13-1) in such a close horrible fight doesn't prove him to be World Class IMO

I think he beats dodson, but yes it is still an if.

I don't think anyone has ever said that him beating quigley made him world class really.

He hasn't fought anyone of world class granted. But if you want to blame anyone at this stage of his career for who he has fought, blame frank.

He is being stepped up now, doesn't matter about the past.

So many fighters have stepped up with question marks over them, and don't quite make it, and maybe that will happen to smith, and if it does then so be it. But until then, let's get behind him, he is ****ing british at the end of the day. I would throw my weight behind ****ing matthew hatton in a world title fight because he is british, and i am patriotic

    Avid Lemon.

I commend you mate but personally I'm not over patriotic when it comes to the sport. If a fighter from Britain is doing well then brilliant but I either like/loathe fighters by there styles, personalities not there nationality :good

Each to their own I suppose
