Groves by mid to late stoppage. I think he is one of the top 3 prospects in the country and would dismantle Smith.

 

Tony Salam is only super middle in UK who could trouble Groves in my opinion. Least until DeGale gets to a level.

Smith is a decent fighter but shouldn't really be up at super middle...... and his last two opponents basically Clottey'd their way to losses late in the fight.

I think groves is class but not ready for smith yet, ain't fought anyone similar and I think would lose closely on points. Maybe after 1-2 defences(1afrcan and maybe dilks) he'll be ready

 

I think either Groves would outclass him or Smith would grind out the win, Smith competed well against Dodson when he had those major cut problems and that makes me think he would compete well. I do not think he would get knocked out quickly as some people are suggesting

 

I don't think Dilks would be a good choice of opponent.

He was basically even with Adamu.... who Groves absolutely shredded, and dropped a couple of rounds to a journeyman on the Haye undercard before the KO.

Groves might be best served ****ing the domestic scene off for a bit (or maybe permanently) boxing in America against some tough guys or in Germany.

If you aren't going to put him in with Smith immediately there isn't really anybody else available without being reckless that would test him adequately in the UK.

Probably not one, but Smith starts off extremely slow, has been stunned early, I would take Groves to finish him off in such an instance.
