i take it all back about it not being on, it is defo on. Big smigga win coming up. late stoppage comin up!
heard a little rumours about this card in feb nathan cleverly is to vacate the commonwealth title and tony bellew will be fight for it on the card plus ste smith will be fighting for the english title
If the Dodson that fought Quigley shows up for this one then it's Dodson UD for me. Have to see how much Dodson has got left though after all the time out. Alot of disrespect here for Smith. Seems a little harsh. I wanted Quigley to beat him last time out, but I had Smith two up overall. Could have easily gone either way, but the lad won the belt and deserves a bit of respect. Doesnt Magee want to fight for this belt again? I know he's going for the EBU in Jan, but surely he's front of the queue after that? More money in a Brit title than a vacant European I would have though?
That sounds great I checked out the list of candidates for the commonwealth recently and Tony wasn't on the Light Heavies list of contenders but JJ Ojuderie was :blood I hope that doesn't stand in his way of getting a shot at the vacant title but I would be extremely shocked if he was denied a shot. If Frank is brave a good move would be to put Tony in with the Aussie Tim Bell he is ranked in the top 15 for the WBA and is on the list of contenders, he has experience but most importantly is clearly beatable with a record of 17-5 he would prove a stiff test for Bomber and in my mind would be the perfect opponent make it happen Frank.
Probably he won't exactly be close to a world title shot if he wins the title, with two of the titles (most importantly the WBC) being tied into the super six and one held in North America where he isn't known I would say he will still have quite a lot of work to before he gets a shot at the title and a fight with the winner of Smith-Dodson would do decent money.
Dobson in his prime would gooble Smith up. Dobson is a bit washed up now and Smith is a bit fresher. In saying that Smith is an extemely average boxer, if Dobson fancies it on the day he can take it.
**** like this make me laugh how the hell can i be washed up when my last fight was probably one of my best i havent been out of the gym since and will be more than ready when this happens and for the record its DODSON you guys carnt even spell my name properly let alone jude when iam washed up or not quigley got lucky last time after me dominateing all the fight and probably setting a pace that not many super middles could deal with or match so all you lot WHO DOUBT and HATE keep doing it cAUSE its putting a load of wood on my fire keep doing it i love it
Dodson is still a huge threat domestically. I can still see him beating Smith. We are very lucky to have a bunch of fighters at a division at the same time that really want to fight each other. Glad to see Dilks in the title action too, hopefully him vs Dodson next year.
Well done big fella, get into these know **** all ******s. I'm hoping Smith grows a pair of balls and give you a chance, I cant see him taking the kind of punishment you gave Quig, mid round stoppage for me.:yep
Most excellent retort my good fellow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that if we keep the slagging going it may help him grow a pair, instead of those wee tiny hairyless baws of his
No disrespect intended Tony but if you read the whole comment you would retract your statement. My opinion is that the last fight took alot out of you fella, thats just an opinion by someone who has followed this sport for 20plus years it was a war, you are a Warrior. You have had a great career and been a worthy Champ. Maybe 'washed up' is a tad harsh, maybe the wrong term, but as I said, at your peak you vs Smith would be a non contest, you would break him. Also if you read the last sentence I said that if you fancied it you would take Smith. But lets be honest boxing is all about timing. Im im not a hater mate, Im actually a fan. Good Luck to you.
Yeah, you're missing something. Capturing the WBO SMW Title is not equivalent to beating Ali at this moment in time, and Smith is next in line for a shot by the looks of it. I originally thought (with Warren involved) he'd be straight in for having a crack at it, but obviously not as he's taking on Tony now instead. Great domestic dust-up, can't wait.
