Paul Smith .VS. George Groves... who would you pick?

It is still early days but arguably he is above British Champion level being the Commonwealth Champion.

 

I think Smith takes this right now. I like groves and he has some good qualities and does seem to have a punch on him as well

His defence is appalling and so inefficient all the running dodging is very tiring and ok fair enough rely on your reflexes but his arent as good as he think and he needs to work on his economy of movement.

When he did get hit with shot or orughed up he seeme dto get angry and came out with wild swings to discourage in some ways i applaud this kind of attitude shows some fire in the belly but ultimately Smith is the type of guy that will make you pay and will hit you hard but also knows how to rough you up.

Smith i would say has a beter chin than anderson and probably a beter punch which was more than enough to trouble Groves.

 

Watching him from ringside I have to admit I wasn't overly impressed. Talented yes, but not particuarly special. 100% Kenny would have beaten him with good prep. I've said that from the start. They have their own routes now- but believe me Kenny is a better fighter.

 

Smigga would win early imo

 

Not sure about Early, but Smith is by far the better fighter.

 

A bit of sense being spoken for once in this thread. It has taken this fight for many people to wake the **** up, and realise that although good fighters, groves and degale are being fast tracked too quickly. Groves is gortunated Anderson gassed. Smigga won't, and rakes both of them apart right now IMO. Give kenny at least 6-8 weeks proper preparation for the groves fight and he stops groves. Degale is up against someone a good couple of levels above Lenny at this moment in tome, and mark my words he is in deep and over his head

Oh by the way smith eats groves for breakdast

 

DeGale will outclass Smith.
