Following injury to Paul Smith, the Stewards postponed the Purse bid for one month and decided to put out the above contest for purse bids to be submitted in accordance with the Terms and Conditions attached to the Board’s Head Office by 12.00noon on Wednesday, 9th April 2014, the contest to take place by the end of June 2014.

Thoughts on this one im going for Rocky Mid Stoppage thats if he can make the weight or Smith doesnt vacate

 

I think smith on points. Smith is a seasoned 12 rounder fighter who's only lost against top level fighters, fielding has been gifted the english title and commonwealth titles. Will b intesting to see how fielding copes under pressure and not fighting at his own tempo. He has got power so cud take smith out but I fancy smith to win. All along fielding and his team hav distanced themselves away from smith fight so how confident r they.

 

Smith needs to sort his 'World Title' shot in quick time. It would be funny if it fell through and he still vacated.

I agree, Rocky mid round stoppage.

 

I think after Smith's comments about him after his fight Rocky will be well up for this.

After all he will be facing a "World Title Challenger" ................ even though if Rocky smashes him up there will be NO world title challenge.

Granted Smith had only a few weeks notice to fight Ambler back in December however he was in awful shape. I could see the fat jiggling about his back as he was throwing punches.

 

I dont think this will happen just now, Smith talking about a fight in Germany ahead of his world title shot in September.
Think Rocky would prefer a couple more fights also before they meet.

smith will ko rocky, rocky is very ordinary he sells tickets and that's why he is were he is, rocky gets beat as soon as he steps up

 

Not a chance he couldnt put jamie ambler away in his last fight and was blowing clean out his arse

 

he was out of shape against ambler because he could, if he comes in shape like he did against Dodson then he beats rocky all day long.

 

and if were talking about last fights rocky couldn't put and old man who is shot to bits away, plus he probably out weighed him by more than a stone on fight night.

 

Why is Dodson a benchmark though?

I thought he looked really sharp vs Dodson and picked some good shots, when has rocky ever looked sharp . his own people know smith beats him, smith puts rocky down in every interview and rocky says nothing, he doesn't fancy it .
