I still think its his right to have few seconds to recover from that, he was still standing.

Can't give him a count if he doesn't touch down.

Some guys have impressive recovery power, so referees should not rob them of their chance.

No you can't. no standing count in British boxing. Unless the fighter goes down or part of his body touches down. :bbb

It was a stoppage, and in Britain, and a TKO6, but this was no British stoppage. :!:

Smith gives a VERY humble interview. He gives all credit to coach Joe Gallagher not only for him reclaiming the British title but for him even maintaining his passion for boxing this long, and for nurturing his brothers in the sport.

He is gracious toward his opponent, forgiving Dodson for the rubbish he talked in the build-up acknowledging it was just business.

He says he promised his son to get another belt and is glad to have delivered.

He wants a DeGale rematch and says he takes nothing from Chunky but honestly doesn't feel he was 100% that night. He says no excuses for the Groves loss, he was in the best of shape but just got chinned by a perfect shot, which happens.

He is asked about Rocky Fielding and says he respects the kid and would be happy to give him a crack.

Paul truly has matured a lot over the years. This guy was neither boring inside the ring nor a jerk outside, complete opposite of the old Smigga.

I'm going to get some sleep, to be awake when Golovkin puts Macklin to sleep.
