    Can someone explain to me how and why this is happening?

    Is Abraham looking for an easy defense and this then gives Smith bragging rights thinking he's a world class fighter?

    Has sky got something to do with it? As it looks like they can't get enough of him?

    Surely beating Tony Dobson a few times does not put u inline for world honors!

    Look how well Froch out-boxed Abraham, are you telling me you don't think Paul could do the same thing? plus Paul has decent power and Abraham isn't exactly hard to hit.

    Arthur Abraham held the IBF Middleweight world title belt for 5 years,

    The 2 times Paul Smith has faught World level contenders he has been outclassed and knocked out early and easily both times

    Why would anyone think he should be in the ring with the world champ?

    Boxing is corrupt as **** and the fact that this fat jug eared bum is getting a title shot based on the above results proves it.

    Still i'll take great pleasure in watching him get stuffed it just pains me that he'll be making a 6 figure some from it.

    Can't blame Smith for jumping at the chance, who wouldn't if you were in his shoes.

    That said, from what he's done he doesn't deserve it by an stretch of the imagination especially in comparison to other fighters in the division.

    Good luck to him though

    he played the game with his old promoter to get the ranking, now if he can keep it with the new one/whoever he signs with its happy days for him, brian rose done the same but gets less hate on here

    I wouldn't mind if he was humble about it but when he talks you think he has earnt it. Guy is a complete tit and domestic level at best

    Pointless fight. There are other, much more deserving guys than Smith who got KO'd by an 8 fight beginner in James Degale and KO'd in like 2 rounds by Groves.

    He's a good euro level fighter but that's it.

    What's wrong with Paul getting a shot, on his night you never know, good luck to and I. Hope he wins gets well paid and earns a few bob out it.
    He's gave his life to boxing so why begrudge him anything?
