Paul Smith should take a step out of Tony Bellews book. Be a gentleman whilst posting and leave the theatrics and insults for the press conferences.

Social media is a window of opportunity for fighters to get new fans, however Paul Smith seems to be endearing himself as someone we want to see lose.

Think about it, why did people prefer Groves over Degale? Because he's NOT a dick. Besides Smith shouldn't insult Theopane, Smith has lost against the good fighters he's faced, Theopane has wins against Daws and Rodriguez, that's better than any two of Smith's wins.

He's just kicking a guy while he's down, bit sad really. As for the offer of sparring, Theopane is a JWW, Smith is a MW. Talk about picking on the small ones!

 

I think a few of you have got the wrong end of the stick, Paul & a lot of the other Liverpool fighters were chuffed Theophane got beat last night because he's done nothing but bad mouth a good kid in Steve Williams for the last few weeks & talks about the British title as if it's beneath him.
His blogs were a disgrace, if Paul Smith would've been writing blogs saying he's a class above the British belt because he'd been in the contender everyone would've been on his case.
Theophane's needs to have a look at himself you'd think he was Carl Froch or Amir Khan with the way he talks about himself

Best laugh was when Paul was talking about how murderous a puncher he was before Groves iced him.

 

I swear the idea Paul was a big puncher came off him hitting a punching bag rigged up to one of those silly power calculators on the contender.

Which is ironic, as some might say his only wins came against punch bags

 

His claims were based on his in ring performances

"I've had 17 knockouts and, if you look at them, every single one has hit the floor hard.....They've stayed there while the count has been called and there are paramedics called in straight away."

He's a nice guy when you meet him- and his commentary is spot on. Just think he's not very calculated about what he says- but I don't mind him and think he's a good fighter. Nice balance, fair dig and decent skills.

I think its a lost cause trying to save him on here though.

 

The irony of Smith slagging off Theophane for thinking he's above his own level.

This guy has a serious chip on his shoulder.

 

As for this murderous puncher bollocks, it didn't do him too well against Bendall did it?

Paul doesnt seem to realise that people talk **** on the internet, even more so when its to someone who you can get a rise out of so trying to then match them in the shite talking stakes.
