I said before and I will said it again, Quintana was to exposed Williams deficiencies and he did...all you fools here on ESB that think know all their is about boixing, got fooled and fooled good.... Quintana is a slick sweet boxer that understand the sweet science very well and the art of countering, and he executed his boxing plan masterfully tonight, totally taking the attack from Williams, chopping him up and ultimately winning a fairly easy desicion...and yes I agreed with the post fight comment that he could have KO Williams, if he was behind but not need for that he was comfortably ahead...I had it 8-4 Quintana... Now, Quintana became the third Puerto Rican WW champ!!! It speaks volumes about Cotto, as Kellerman said and not so much about MARGARITO!!
I've said he's overrated on here many a time Didn't expect him to lose to Quintana mind, I picked that one wrong :-(
When they announced the match, I was one of the few that many of the so call "EXPERTS" at ESB laugh, but I knew very well what Quintana is cappable of doing if he is given the space and allowed to move, and Williams never understood that and neither did the fools at ESB...:rofl
I never rated Quintana that highly, he suprised me a lot tonight Anybody that ever thought Williams was hanging with Cotto or Mayweather was deluded
Somebody do a count on how many times you see the words "hyped", "overrated", "exposed" thrown out tonight
Well the point is that Paul Williams was over his head tonight, a mster boxer got him schooled, and boxer with a solid amateur career that was able to exploid Williams lack of experience with a boxer on his prime that can move, add to that southpaw vs. southpaw, the Sharmbe fight, which clearly show Williams in ability to handle the right counter or the straight left...Sharmbe was old and a shot fighter, Quintana on the other hand was on top of his game...
...a tough fight, 8-4 is not a tough fight, did you see Quintana's face, did he look he was in tough fight...houw about Williams, pizza face, did he look he was in tought fight, with conenct % over 40 for Quintana and less that 27 for Williams, the % connect of jabs in favor of Quintana tell the tale...dude it was not tought, the only one had a tough fight was Williams...he had a lesson in school tonight...
...and you can't handle the thruth about your boy...fool get to know boxing before you come to a boxing forum....:hi:
Paul was troubled by Quintana's movement, slickness, and accuracy. I thought before the fight that Quintana would beat Margarito, Clottey, Berto, and Cintron, but I didn't expect him to beat Williams. However, he proved me wrong. Hats off to Carlos Quintana...THE NEW WBO WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION!
