totally agree. williams HAD a well earned reputation of being ducked and avoided. now he's trying to milk it for what he can. martinez was at least his equal in the ring, fought and schooled pavlik and now is the champ

williams should be ****ing thrilled with 1.5 million (50-50?) and a shot at the belt he tried so hard to fight pavlik for.

there's no way he reasonably thinks he deserves more than martinez, so this is just a chicken **** duck

 

its either that or fight Dzinzurukioki for pennies. I dont think Williams is scared I just think hes trying to milk it since hes not a big attraction.

Dont get me wrong Im not saying hes a bad fighter. Hes obviously good but I dont consider him an elite fighter.

Martinez won that fight. He got robbed. Just like he was robbed against Cintron whom by the way was beating Paul Williams ass until the stupid bizarre incident happened.

He needs to man up and take this rematch. But he wont since he knows this time hes going to lose and wont get a a gift like last time.

 

c'mon though, at a certain point isn't 1.5 million milking it? that's a fortune, especially to a boxer whose entire fanbase is on ESB

If true, there's no defending PTP's stance. His chances at landing a bigger fight seem to be brim so perhaps he'll eventually come around on rematching Martinez, hopefully.

 

Well Williams does hold the win over Sergio and been a top fighter longer , so they should bump is pay up a little more.

 

Even if you say Paul won more rounds, it was clear that Martinez won the fight. It took Paul more than a round to recover from the KD. Too bad Martinez wasn't a finisher. Looking at both guys at the end it is obvious who inflicted more damage. He chased Paul out of the MW division.

 

Paul won't make $100K without TV money. He has no fan base.
