    See heres my problem...

Williams fans want to talk like this, all about how it comes down to money, risk, reward, and all that crap, then go on to talk **** about how everyone is 'ducking' williams.

Ay... ya'll (and by that i dont mean YOU, i mean the williams fans in general) need to stop being hypocrites then. If Cotto isnt fighting williams, its probably because hes got plenty of other options that would bring him close to the same amount of money as williams would, for 'less wear and tear'.

Now i would normally never talk like that as i hate that side of boxing, but im trying to show how if its good for the goose then its good for the gander, and making posts like that pretty much make trying to call other fighters on their 'duck' of williams look stupid.
Williams fans get all crazy about Mosley, Cotto, Mayweather and Pac not fighting him, then go on to make posts like the one above as to why Williams wont fight Martinez.

    Cant have it both ways.

He already has, in fact it was the fight b4 martinez won the title :rasta. I would much rather see him fight the top 1 or 2 p4p fighters in the world.

    I can respect that, honestly.

If its not about the money and all that, and its about him just not feeling comfortable at middleweight and is trying to be a welterweight again, then thats fine.... Im still surpised he turned this down but at least that reason would be understandable.

If Paul Williams has decided that middleweight is a weight class too far for him and prefers to fight at light-middleweight or lower you cannot call him a ***** or whatever. Seriously, grow up.

If Williams goes back to fight at middleweight in his next couple of fights maybe then you could say he is ducking Martinez but not now. But while there's only $1.5m on the table it's understandable. That is not a lot of money to fight a dangerous fighter (who you have already beaten anyway) at a weight you don't feel comfortable at.

that is highly hypothetical, you first assume that paul would take the fight eventually, then you assume he would take it if offered more money.

only a fanboy defends this. only a fanboy appreciates a boxer taking the easier route.

not fighting someone because it iss "too much wear and tear" or "too much risk" is a ***** move.

Are you sure you saw the fight?
    Martinez clearly won.

Neither fighter's promoter has done **** to raise their profile. They want to ride the TV rights money gravy train. There is no place in the world you could stage this and do more than 5,000 at the gate.

That is a lot more than they offered for a Pavlik/Sturm unification a year or so ago.

I saw the fight and although I scored it for Martinez by 1 point, I also saw that Wiliams was declared the winner.

I'm pretty sure Williams feels he deserved the Win

The one thing that doesn't gel with this is that their were reports that Cintron offered to do the Williams fight at 147. I've asked you about this before. Goosen announces he is taking Paul back to 147. Cintron said he would be willing to go to that weigh, yet the fight was at 154? Why?

So now Williams is to small and that he is a WW? What happened to PW skills and physical attributes are so impressive he can take on anyone 160 down.

Lets not forget the thrashing he put on the great Andy Kolle.
