[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"Moments ago, Fight***s spoke with George Petersen, who trains two-divison world champion Paul ‘The Punisher’ Williams (37-1, 27 KOs), regarding what possible fight would interest him next for Williams. One name that really excited him was two-division world champion Bernard ‘The Executioner’ Hopkins (49-5-1, 32 KOs). “We will take that fight all day long at a catchweight. One of Hopkins’ main strengths is that he intimidates people. Paul would not be intimidated. First thing we would attack would be his head. Calzaghe really put it on Hopkins down the stretch in their fight. Those volumes of punches are nothing compared to what Paul would throw. If our people who make the final decisions on these matters approached me with this offer, the answer is ‘yes’ all day long.” said Peterson."

IMO Williams can win this if he boxes smart

Stylwise not a good look for Paul.....But Nard is getting older, and older and older...so its a toss up to me.. but I feel Nard would be able to catch Paul with a perfectly timed counter punch to get him outa there.

I actually think Williams has a good chance of decisioning Hopkins. He throws a lot of punches, keeps his hands going, is fast enough to pose a threat to B-Hop and if Hopkins' age finally gets to him, all signs point to a Calzaghe-style loss for him. One of those quality vs quantity fights.

what do you mean full of himself? he's taking big challenges..... this is what has hurt boxing for years and years and now were calling out " he's cocky "

would you rather see a complete mismatch

He has a chance against the other 3 but he has no chance against Hopkins and you even know it. And after B-Hop beat him down they all would taint Hopkins victory and say he beat a natural welterweight the way they do with all his victories.

No defense, no boxing intelligence, over-hyped. That's just me.

part of me says bhop has the recipe...
the other part of me says jermain taylor did it clearly (but close) in the 2nd fight...... crazier things have happened

paul williams has the tools to do it he just has to put together the right game plan for it

I think cause he can't get a fight at 147-154 he is looking for other options. We should be happy that we have a fighter that is not afraid to take on bigger challenges
