I think that even if BHop "won" - the judges would still give it to PW, by virtue of the punch volume - like they did with Calslappy. I'd imagine BHop would land the harder, cleaner, more telling shots - but PW would likely land more, or at least LOOK like he landed more. Of course, BHop could very well get a stoppage.

I think it'd be a hell of a fight though, and would love to see it!

Well your not going to see it. Hopkins will price himself out by asking Williams to fight for peanuts. Even if Williams would fight for minimum wage Hopkins aint goint to take that fight. We might as well start doing hypotetical match ups like ALI vs Klitchko.

I hope Hopkins takes that fight, he only has to land a couple punches to knock Williams out. The ref and judges are always on Williams' side, so knock him out.

Hopkins shouldn't take this fight. Even if he wins, he's not going to get too much credit. And he's not coming down further than 170. Maybe 168 but that's it.

Agree. I am now a fan of MR. Williams. Hopkins would take the fight at 170 and Williams will slow down and be too heavy. Forget Hopkins and go after Pavlik or Sturm.

Hopkins has not knocked anyone out in ages. He can punch but he is not a ko puncher. Plus Paul has a sturdy chin. Bad match up for BHOP. I think williams is a bad match up for anyone.

At 45 years old... Paul just might pull it off.

Only one good punch from Hopkins and Williams would be in big trouble.

Interesting fight. Will have to give some thought as to who I think will win.

Man, IMO, you GOT to respect Paul Williams. He fought Margo when it seemed nobody else would. He seems to want big fights and is jumping thru like 4 or 5 divisions all at once.

I'd like to add, I thought physically Paul looked the best I'd seen him against Winky at 160, instead of like "Skeletor" (no disrespect intended, but you know what I mean). He looked, IMO, like he was at the right weight for his frame, and he sure did put a beat down on Wink's ass. Some of us thought before hand that if Paul dominated Wink, it would just be that Wink was SHOT.....not the case. That was atleast a 75% Winky in there (which is still leagues above most fighters), and Paul whooped that ass.

IMO, Abraham aside, this will be the big one. Pavlik vs. Williams will end up being the BIG DADDY.:deal

Adamek & Dawson would both be tougher fights for Hopkins, and he's not gonna fight Tito. Maybe Jones, possibly, but not Trinidad. No way.
