    You know what I love about this fight.

    He knew he couldn't figure Quintana out, but he went for the rematch anyway. Bit down on his gum shield and came out bombing away knowing he would need to hurt him to win.

    And to top it all off, he then fights an even harder version of Quintana in Martinez, twice!what a legend.

    The parallels read like epic poetry, too, from a fans'/journos' perspective. Quintana squeaks the decision and then gets blitz KTFO in the rematch...and then Williams himself squeaks a decision over Maravilla only to get blitz KTFO in the rematch.

    I don't think it can be chalked up to just nostalgia, to say that a decade ago was generally a more exciting time in the sport.

    I remember after the accident one of the first things I heard Williams say something like his goal was to walk again. This is great news.
