People who say Williams has a glass chin aren't given Martinez enough credit

Exactly. Tough Kid, Who always wanted and tried his ass off to fight the best. In fact, threatened a law-suit just to get the fight with Margarito. When he couldn't secure a meaningful fight at 147lbs (i.e. no-one wanted to fight him) he went up to 160lbs to Fight Winky Wright. Then signed to fight the Top-Dawg at 160lbs (at the time) Kelly Pavlik. When Pavlik postponed several times, then eventually backing-out....What did Williams do? Did he go after some scrub...No he found Sergio Martinez. And then Gave him a rematch. He fights the best, in an entertaining style without trash-talking or being arrogant. You guys say you hate Mayweather's persona, arrogance and cocky-ass bull****...right? Well Williams is none of that....yet posters still HATE HIM!!!

    I WONDER WHY:think....

My respect for Williams expanded x10 after I heard that he made no excuses after the ko loss to Martinez. He is exciting to watch but his guns blazing, chin up approach was never going to result in a long career. His inactivity is also a plague to his career as you're remembered the most for your last fight and his last fight was a devastating ko loss. Not an image he should leave in our minds. I hope he fights on and eventually retires in good health.

Good point but good fighters will always have their haters/committed doubters unfortunately.

I hope PTP can recover from such a devastating defeat to once again achieve elite level status.

    One of my faves.

Williams is the kinda guy that a big KO isn't gonna have severe reprecussions on. The guy is iron willed and he got caught cold a la Hearns vs Duran. P-Will will beat anyones ass at 154 and below that isn't Mayweather or Martinez. I'd like to see him paste this protected Alvarez punk or take the belt away from the paper champ that is K9 .

Williams makes exciting fights, and that's good for boxing. I hope he wins a decent tune-up, and gets back on top.
