Paul "The Punisher" Williams True Welterweight Best

This is the most ridiculous post I've seen to date on this forum.
Yes Margarito gave the early rounds away then pounded Williams like a sledge hammer in the later rounds.
Had him in trouble more than once ( which some will deny ).
After the fight Williams looked beaten the hell out of.
When the rematch comes, I feel Margarito WILL put his lights out and once more shut his critics down as well as Williams.

 

I think it's becoming evident that Williams can't effectively make the weight anymore. Get's embarrased by Quintana (the rematch didn't even last a round so we really don't know how it would've played out had Quintana acted more cautiously early on), and recently with Williams trying to jump up to 160 against Pavlik.

Go back and look at him fighting Margarito. He's got a huge frame, with little muscle on it. I haven't seen Tony that dwarfed since he fought Santos-(Santos weighed in around 170lbs for the fight to Tony's ~156lbs). If Williams is having problems, no way can he absorb Margarito's punches like he did last time, nor keep up his incredible high volume of punches which kept Tony on ice for the first 6 rounds.

Williams is getting older, just like Cotto, and just like Pavlik now, it gets more difficult to cut the weight. It happens. His manager, trainer, and mother can all swear it's easy for him to make weight, doesn't change the fact he'll spend his entire training camp working on just that and still suffer.

He came in at 154 on fightnight against Quintana. Apparently, he walks around between 160 and 165. That's really good for a Welter. He makes the weight easy, and probably spends less time sucking weight than many other noteworthy Welters.

 

Paul Williams is the man. He was callin out Maragrito when no one else wanted anything to do with him. And he was just calling out Pavlik and wanted to fight him bad at middleweight. How can you not love the Punisher???

 

Some people claim he talks too much trash. This despite the fact that he's probably one of the most honest, polite guys in the game.
