I think Williams maybe too big, too much movement and too busy for Duran so I picked him but wouldnt be suprised if Duran slipped to the inside and punnish PWs mistakes to smash the stuffing out of Duran. But Duran hasnt even fought anyone as tall and rangy as Williams, who's 2 inches taller with a wider wing span than Hearns

If old middleweight Duran can hang it out with Hagler, I dont think Williams will be a problem. Relentless pressure, strength and pure ability win the fight for Duran.

Duran just has waaay to much skill for Williams.

Paul is just to wide open and Duran's defensive package on the front foot would just have Williams unsure of what was coming next.

Duran would completely mug him on the inside and in the clinch..It probably is a pretty good close fight early on because of Paul's size and style but in the end its a moida.

For all those saying Duran never faced anyone like Williams..he did face guys who were considerably taller and physically bigger then he was, beat quite a few of them too..but either way there is absolutely no way Paul ever faced someone like Duran. He clearly lost to Quintana and got almost knocked off by Margarito for christs sake.

That all being said Paul still has a career to go..and he may well just be hitting his prime now.

I would honestly pick Duran. He's quite good at slipping, weaving, and moving. His counterpunching is superb as well. He also hits like a truck. Much harder than Quintana or Margarito I believe, so that may cause problems in terms of accumulation, cuts, etc..

Although Paul would make it a great fight... I just cannot see him overcoming the strength, speed, power, beard, toughness and ability of Duran through size and punch volume.

I wouldn't think that PW's height would worry Duran. Remember what the did to Barkley? I would be more concerned with his PW's activeness. Duran was a master at slipping punches, but PW's throws so many for all 12 rounds. PW by UD.

Plus PW is a much better fighter since the 1st Quintana fight. Mentioning that fight doesn't make since to me, since he knocked him out easily the 2nd go around.

Ive gone for Williams, Duran is an epic fighter and a true great, but Paul is all wrong for him. The guy is massive and his work rate is immense.

Obviously PW is huge but regardless of his size & workrate i really don't think that Duran would have much trouble with Williams, his work rate would be totally nullified by Duran IMO, Duran's defence would more than handle what williams offered out & once he'd got inside the 147 Montreal Duran would seriously start 2 smash Williams up who would have found his retreat cut off at every turn. If he tried 2 pile in on Duran early then he's as good as dead & if size is anything 2 go by i'd say Williams size is his biggest disadvantage.

Look how Duran ran the Marvelous one right too the wire by adopting smart defence & counter, Duran has a vastly underated defence caperbility.

Obviously people will try & compare Williams 2 Hearns but Williams is a million miles away from Hearns in fighting style & ability & it won't be the same under motivated/porky Duran that Tommy blew out that he'd be facing. Over 15 i see Williams in a 147 fight getting seriouly distressed by the 11/12 & thats when Duran's going really going too dish out a ****in Davey Moore like battering for the TKO, Duran has fun:yep He only escaped by the skin of his dick against slow starting Margo who totally dominated him in the 2nd half of the fight:smoke

At 160 the Duran that fought Hagler would employ the same ring smarts that gave Hagler such a hard time, i just don't see Williams being able 2 bull his way down the stretch as the Marvelous one did too just hang on too his crown, Duran gets the UD for me by 146/143 = 7/4/4

Williams reminds me so much of Jonny Bumphus, go watch the mad dog Gene Hatcher fight that was on the undercard of the Mancini/Bramble card you'll ****in love it:D
