At most I could only see putting Pac, JMM, Shane, Hopkins, Calderon, and Vasquez in front of him. Its hard to put anyone eles in front.

I wouldn't go as far as saying he is p4p best just yet. But he is definitely top 6 or 7 and he will only get higher as some of these other boxers find their balls and step up to fight him.

Dawson and Vic both have better records than Williams.

No, I don't have Kessler on my list.

Why bring up fighters losses? Look at the one's you have brung up. JMM lost to John ages ago, and has a far better resume than Dawson post-Chris John fight. Atleast Pac has a win over somebody the quality of JMM, does Dawson? No. He lost to Morales against ago, has Dawson even been in with anybody as good as Morales? No. And Pac avenged that twice. Hopkins lost to Taylor yes, has Dawson ever been in with anybody as good as Taylor from those fights? No. Mosley lost to Cotto, a top 5 P4P'er at the time. Has Dawson been in with anybody of that calibre? No.

And until he does step in with somebody of that calibre, he's not up their with those guys. Williams I can handle in the top 10 and he would make mine, because he's beaten Margarito, Winky etc even if past his best. Dawson ran from Diaconu, beat a shot Tarver unimpressively twice, and scrapped past a way past prime Glen Johnson in a fight many, not myself though it has to be said, think he lost.

Williams looked good against Wright, but I'v read that Clottey was pressuring for a fight with no interest from Williams. I heard he might fight Dzinziurik who according to him has been after him for a while.

You could have a point there, but In dont think that it will be up there with the money that he could get to fight Floyd, Pac and Cotto in that order. I think that floyd is the biggest money fight for anyone in that range. I think that Shane would stand to make 10 million min fighting one of those three were as a fight with Pwill would be in the 5 to 8 million range, its nothing to laugh at. But Shane is coming to the end and he wants mega paydays.

    who should be above him?

HE IS THE DEFINITION OF "POUND FOR POUND" ... nobody in boxing is doing what he is doing "POUND FOR POUND" Nobody relevant has fought & won big in their last 3 fights in 3 different divisions & if they did they are above pw... ITS POUND FOR POUND.. not a boxing hot list or best resume... POUND FOR POUND

**** Belts.... & mandatory... they make irrelevant bums mandatory s... they was trying to make clottey fight hlatswato or some **** instead of cotto for a mandatory... **** is a joke.... and like i ORIGINALLY said.... PW vs pavlik / AA is a GOOD FIGHT... i didnt say he would win or ko them ( although i think he COULD tko pavlik)

like I always say.. stylistically what makes you think floyd would beat pw.. what in floyd game? He's not dropping paul, paul has better endurance than floyd, paul will sell out, floyd WONT take risks to get in & out like quintana did... Paul would be the favorite going in ...

@ 154... he is also the favorite over everyone

I worry about aa because he is less predictable... like you said he throws wild ass haymakers and those from time to time can land on paul... he just has never faced someone with power like aa

pavlik is more consistent in what he does and it will be easier to predict what he does... im not saying he would CLEARLY win... but paul could win

It's the same with Mayweather hudson. As you can tell from my avatar, I'm a Floyd fan. But he is NOT my P4P #1 at this moment in time. He has to potential to over-rate JMM - my #2 - if and when he beats him, and the potential to over-take Pac at the top if and when he beats him.

It's the same with Dawson. He's a world-class fighter, and he has the potential to build on his resume and over-take somebody like Hopkins if he fights him. Until he gets a big, big win, or builds a solid resume with a long list of B level names, he ain't making his way high onto my list.
