Paul Willaims is the best P4P

No I didn't just describe him. His jab isn't all that good, it's lazy at times and it comes from a long distance where Floyd can time it and parry it.

He's not a southpaw. Nor is he particularly quick.

1000 punches doesn't matter if they aren't landing. Most won't be. It'll be his downfall because he gives Floyd ample opportunities to counter.

His reach doesn't mean anything, just gives Floyd more time to counter his punches and spots the telegraphed one's from a mile away. You honestly believe that Williams can sit back and outjab Floyd from the centre of the ring or something? Think again.

 

I have nothing against him but his record is nothing special even though its not his fault that most of the top fighters dont want to fight him,that being said he doesnt deserve to be top 5 pfp.

 

I disagree man, he is at the most 9, or 10. Beating a fighter coming off a 2 year layoff does not cut a boxer top 5. Who else has he beat to be ranked so high?:huh

I picked Winky though bias because he's one of my favourite fighters and in the hope he had one last great win in the tank, plus Rummy convinced me which was foolish to say the least.

But it's no secret he's past his best. That much is evident. He's not shot, but from the waist down his movement wasn't there and he just wasn't as speed and fluid as the Winky of old. He doesn't pack a big punch but I don't see why that matters anyway. He was never going to knock Williams out primed or otherwise.

You cant use resume for PW cause no one wants him

You can only go by how good hes looked and how you see him matching up with the other guys, plus the fact that no one wants any of him

Its the Winky Wright situation all over again. People know how good he is so steer clear

 

But it's still a very good win, against an awkward guy who would still give anyone in the 160lbs division fits. And guys at 154 if he could make it. Certainly a great win for anyone whether he is past it or not.

 

Name one fighter that was in the P4P top 6 when Williams fought them? If you cant then you can not put Williams in the top 5 P4P.

 

He is claiming he wants to fight middle and supers, is there any evidence that any of the middles and smw's and "no wants any of him". I hope he does not get tagged "the most avoided fighter" and get his ass handed to him ala margarito. For example, do you really believe, arthur or Pavlik if given a good monetary fight against pwill "don't want any"?

Vic - cant move through the weights or comfortably fellow top 10 fighters like PW
Dawson - Dont rate him at all. Only seen him against GJ and AT but he was god damned awful
Izzy - fantastic but inactive for too long

and yes he is faster than your average guy...

you dont watch paul & its obvious... your also one the few people on this forum that think paul williams would beat floyd

 

They'd def take the fight, but they are the very best in the division and they're currently a LOT bigger and stronger. Its unfair to match him with those two. He'd beat the other middles tho, and pretty much anyone below

Vic and Dawson both have better resumes than him,and ranking Williams ahead of Mosley based on a guess its just dumb.
