Like I've been saying fighting an Eric Crumble at 147 or 160 makes not the slightest bit of difference and means absolutely nothing at all:deal
The thing that impressed me was Paul's ability to keep his power going up or down in weight. Kolle is a decent MW and he Paul did what he was suppose to....although in a more devastating fashion than I thought, none the less he should have gotten the early stoppage. At WW Marg still has a good chance at beating Paul, as he did in the first fight......I wouldn't be surprised if Marg won nor would I be surpised if Paul won again. At WW these two guys are fairly even...paul just has natural physical advantages.
Everyone is trying to down Paul for KOing Kolle, you guys have to remember Andre Ward couldn't even KO this dude and Ward is a SMW now.
Stop spouting nonsense. Kolle is not world beater, but he's better than Crumble. He was 17-1 with 12 KOs going into this fight. His only loss was to Andre Ward. It took Ward 6 rounds to get rid of him.
I seriously doubt Paul Williams destroys Margarito. Nobody destroys Margarito. I think Williams would win the rematch myself, but I do think it would be another close fight.
Well....the thing is People don't really want to jump on the Paul Bandwagon too quickly since he really only has one big name on his ledger and that is Marg, which was a close but clear victory for Paul. My thing is Paul shows time and time again that "IF" he wasn't so physically imposing that he is still relentless and busy enough to cause most fighters in the top 10 problems...Throw on top of his tremendous stamina and workrate actual soild overall boxing skills and a granite chin and we have ourselves a pretty scary fellow at 147 to 168. But If people could realize that Paul is just not a Physically dominating boxer who gets by on his size (this isn't the HW division after all) but a very soild and gifted boxer many would change their tune. The Kolle win wasn't surprising..it's HOW he won that surprised me. I knew he'd win by KO but not in the first round. As you brought up...Ward is a decent Pro boxer but he is supremely talented and he was talented enough to beat Kolle...Paul just blew the man out. That does prove his power is legit....he may be just Heavy handed for his punches don't like like explosive power...just heavy and damaging.
:dealThe win was impressive and we all know it, Margarito fans are shook right now and they know that Tony is in trouble if they fight again!!!
You must be out of your mind anyone can see that Williams matches up well with Margo and it's one of the reasons why Margo wants no parts of him. Williams has gottene better and will get better while Margo has peaked and will only get worse especially with his style. Williams has already owned Margo in the first fight and if Margo grows some balls the second fight will be much easier for Willaims who's a much more complete fighter than Margo could ever dream of .:deal Williams can box from range sitting on his shots or he can simply outwork Margo.
Williams beat Margarito easy in the first fight. I was 20 feet from the ring and took 200 pictures. Say whatever you want, he won the fight handily.
Not easy, but convincingly. I had it a 2 point win for Williams actually, some will say it was wider. But if a rematch happens i hope Margo whoops him
Paul Williams is not thick enough to be anybody's nightmare. Just if Margo was afraid of heights but that should not be the case, skinny SC feather fisted slicker will have to box his way back again for a decision. But as they say, the bigger they are, the bigger is the fall.
