Most of Paul William's wins have been against OPPONENTS with losing records. Last night was another victory over a severly overmatched opponent. Paul Williams has been fed a diet loaded with tomato cans and now you are trying to push him off as the greatest thing since Cherrios.

How come people aren't lining up to fight him and take his belt?

What was your answer to this very same question when it was Margarito who was having trouble getting big fights?

Margo was a tough matchup with little name recognition.

What exactly does that mean? That he's only fighting for a payday? As opposed to everyone else? :patsch

How can you say someone who's more then paid their dues is just seeking a payday? Well, I KNOW why you say that. And it's all personal rather then anything else. Don't know who's more bitter towards Margarito, you or Pimp C.

True. So he fought the top contenders in his division instead.

True. I don't want to make it sound like I am pissing on WIlliams, cause I like him too. But if they are having trouble getting good fights (Kolle, then some former UK WW Champ now?), Goosen need to up the $ for opponents. Arum tried that at least.

Clottey is out as Margarito's opponent, they should try him. Would like to see that.

Definitely some similarities between Margarito and Williams' situations though.

He offered Margo $4 mill. Simply offering high purses isn't always enough. Furthermore, Goosen is not in the business of losing money. He can't simply throw a bunch of money out for fights that won't generate much money. I like the idea of a Clottey/Williams fight. I doubt Arum will allow it to happen at this timeto be honest. But if it did go down, I'd certainly be happy with it.

You are the one who said it's perfectly okay for Margo to call out DLH for a payday.

Margo simply wants his payday before he faces PW, who is his biggest threat.

It's not only a money factor with Margarito Reg. You know they already have history. They wanted an immediate rematch, Goosen wanted to explore options (his right to do so). And then the whole Williams v. Pavlik negotiations apparently wasn't pretty especialy w/ Haymon's involvement. It was moe then being about money w/ Margarito. Besides, they are doing their own thing.

true, throwing too miuch money into a fight could almost guarnatee the promoter ending up int the red. But hey, he needs to do what he needs to do. Pretty sure Arum would have lost money with Mayeather vs. margarito when they tried to make that happen eyars ago. And he know that, but in winningm would amke more. Kind of a risk, but when you got nothing to lose, why not.

Does Arum promoter Clottey now? :huh Comfused by that comment on Arum not allowing this to happen.

Williams' size and style should allow him to be in any good fights. I mean, he can legitimately fight from 147 to 160 (they say 168, but we've only seen to 160).

I can't belive this British WW is the best they can come up with.
