u hit the nail on the head. b4 the cotto fight AM was a one deminsional bum waiting to be exposed by a P4P fighter in cotto. Margos boxing sucks, I agree with that. But hes toughness and activity will n has broken alot of so called better fighters.

Fan of both Williams n Margo
But I think margo takes the rematch
With that said I consider williams the top welter until hes defeated:bbb

Both are bums and like I said Paul is 6'1. Of course he can fight at middleweight.

People have such short memories, so let me refresh. Williams struggled with Matthysse, before stopping him in the 10th. The same Matthysse who was KO'd brutally by Cintron in the 2nd round. KTFO! Margarito fought Cintron again in the rematch, walked through his best bombs, and once again stopped Cintron. Williams will never in a million years stop Margarito, that's a fact.

And you guys are going overboard because he beat a regional clubfighter. It's not like he fought a middleweight Hagler, he fought a bum and did was he was suppose to do. Big deal if he moved up, his natural weight is probably middleweight so it's really not that impressive of a win besides the fact it happened in the 1st round.

He's already made near that much in the Cotto fight with his PPV share factored in and will likely make that much fighting Mosley early next year and at least that much if not more in the Cotto rematch.

Unless Williams brings big money($8million or so) Arum will never make the fight that much I can assure you. Goosen needs to pony up the dough if he wants to patch up his rocky relationship with Arum. Money heals all.

    Ridiculous.

If he was gonna destroy Margarito he woulda done it the first time around.

Williams beats up a can and you guys act like he's Thomas Hearns. He's good but he isn't destroying Margarito. Not then and not now.

Besides all that first fight proved anyways was that Margarito can lose to a middleweight. Big deal.

Coming from a hardcore Margo fan. Williams win was very impressive. The opponent was limited but williams showed his class

He didn't make near that much fighting Cotto, he made $1.2 million fighting Cotto, that's nearly $3million down.

Williams WON'T and doesn't NEED to bring more money to fight a guy he already beat. It's supposed to be the other way around and from the looks of it Margarito(and his fans) seem to be acting like he did win.

He had a $1.5million guaranteed but more than doubled it with his PPV share from the fight. The reality is Williams will need to bring the money if he wants to make the fight. Whether it's fair or not or if it pisses off Williams and PBF fans that want to see Margarito lose is not the issue. If the money is not there the fight doesn't get made it's really that simple.

Same against Williams, $4 will be guaranteed and he'll get more from the PPV share as well, best deal he had yet.

If a career high payday is $4million isn't good enough money then it's pretty damn clear that this guy doesn't want the fight AT ALL because only delusional fans will think he's worth more than that after ONE big win and going in against a guy that already beat him.

Well, if AM can't make more than 4 mil against Shane, or who ever AM fights next (and AM and Arum are praying Shane wins), then Williams fans are going to exlax all over AM lol...

Im on board this train. PTP dominated almost the first 2/3 of their first fight and finished strong in the last round. Since then it seems like he's getting better and his loss to Quintana only made him stronger. Margarito has been the same fighter now for a long time which is a guy who physically imposes his will against his opponents. This is usually an advantage but against the bigger stronger PTP it isn't. If they fight him I think he will unify the division and be the next undisputed champ.
