Always been a supporter of Paul Williams . His unique body frame and overwhelming style won me over .

If you bring back a Prime Paul Williams today .

Every current fighter in the WW division gets stomped and beaten . PERIOD

I think after the hook fron hell from Maravilla, Williams wasn't the same. Pre-Maravilla it would of been the other way around Williams clearly outworking Lara like Molina did. He was one of my favorites, a freak in a sense, almost doing a Henry Armstrong, division hopping, bringing terror to 3 divisions and willing to fight in any division at any given time. He seemed drained in the first Quintana fight, then came back to "punish" him, proving the first one was a fluke. And I bet Mayweather would of taken on Williams after he lost to Quintana, but after he saw Williams thrash him in the rematch changed his mind. Just like he also changed his mind saying he'd fight the Sergio-Williams winner. Floyd musta said "**** that! I'm fighting Sergio when he's 40 or Paul, but Williams has to fight me at 145!

the lara fight should have never happened. he was coming off the devastating knock out loss to martinez. the original opponent was ishida who had just upset james kirkland. it was supposed to be an easy one to build his confidence back up. ishida was a worthy foe....but all the shills **** on that fight and forced a very reactionary hbo to disapprove the opponent. great illustration of the double standards of the network giving into arum and his shills. no shame in losing to lara. canelo loss to him too.

Paul Williams big swarming southpaw who threw over 100 punches a round.
It's a shame the fight with Kelly Pavlik never happened as it would have been a Classic. IMO Pavlik would ride the early storm and in the second half of the fight he would KO Williams.
