I wouldn't be surprise if he does beat any boxers from 147-154. He's workrate is unbelievable, he throws a lot of punches and is coming from all angle. Winky said it was hard to block his punches cuz it was coming from everywhere.

I think P.Will needs to used his jab more and use his height. When he tried to boxed winky he had a lot of success from the outside. The only flaws i saw in williams is his defense. He gets hit with big punches. I don't know if he can take pavlik or abraham's punches but if he can i think he can beat them.

Yep! Arum is a snake. I would love to see Williams-Clottey or Williams-Cotto. Too bad we'll never see them.:-:)twisted:

I hope Paul Williams fights Spinks and knocks him the hell out.

Boxing is a better sport without fighters like Spinks discouraging fans from watching. Think how many fans decided to give the sport a try and their first fight was a Cory Spinks fight?!

I agree, I don't see anyone at 147 wanting to get a fight with Williams after this performance.
Now this is what you call p4p material. Going from 147 to 160 in between fights and still fighting at this level is unreal.

I think he stands a chance against Pavlik from what I saw tonight,
considering how bad Pavlik looked in his last fight.
The only thing I'm wondering is if he can take Pavlik's power. Williams sure
can outbox him, but Pavlik will land and if Williams can take his shots he
    can become the 160 champion.

Too be honest. I don't think Shane wants anything to do with Williams. I don't blame him.

Man, all I have to say is there's no reason Paul shouldn't be a star right now. Great fighter.

I think he can, but will most likely look weak.
But he did say he can still make it if he finds someone to fight there, so who knows.

    I hear ya believe me.

Also just to clean things up, the "reason" Arum froze Williams out was because when Williams beat Margarito, Arum and Margo wanted a rematch. Williams said that he was taking some time away and then they'd consider it. Arum was pissed Williams didn't give him a rematch. On top of that when Williams came back, he locked into a fight with Cintron.

When Margo beat Cotto, they tried to return the favor and that's when it got bad.

Why he came into this fight at 157 and that is eating collard greens, cornbread, and bbq. If he got down on it he could easily make 147. He walks around at a lower weight than Cotto and Clottey.
